Our youngest has been going to the same summer camp every year and even attends their long week-end “Winter Camp” in January each year. We actually just got the sign up sheet in the mail last week so that we may get the registration taken care of in a timely fashion to ensure that we get the session that we want before it fills up. Funny here it is snowing/sleeting and here we are looking into this summer’s overnight camp brochure, makes me really anticipate the warm weather even more.
We decided to register on-line this year and while trying to find the camps website we got a chance to check out some of the links to some other summer camps, my goodness there is so much out there now a days, it is mind boggling. You name the activity or interest and you will be able to find a camp designed for you to experience it.
If we could we would send our kids to several different camps every year. It would put us in the poor house but it would keep them busy during the summer break and they would be able to experience so many different cool things.
One camp that we ran across really impressed us, it’s a surf camp. They have several in some pretty exotic places like Hawaii, Costa Rica and the Caribbeans. They also have one in Wrightsville Beach, NC, which is much closer to home and North Carolina is absolutely beautiful. What a nice beach to participate in some surf lessons, they offer teen camps that even our teenager seemed interested in, it seems they also offer a life guarding program that she was jumping up and down about, something she has wanted to do for some time now.
If you get a chance you should check out the website it’s pretty cool www.wbsurfcamp.com, they have done a good job explaining all the different programs that they offer and the pictures of the camps and the waters are absolutely gorgeous.
